The Washington Commanders are 60 minutes away from appearing in their first Super Bowl in 33 years. They must defeat the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday to get there.
It’s the third meeting this season between the longtime NFC East rivals. Philadelphia won in Week 11, while Washington won the Week 16 rematch. The Eagles had won 10 in a row before their Week 16 loss to the Commanders. Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels passed for five touchdowns, leading the Commanders to a 36-33 win.
Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley has been excellent against Washington this season, rushing for 296 yards and four touchdowns on 55 carries in the two games this season. The Commanders did an outstanding job of slowing down Barkley in the second half of the Week 16 game.
