After spending the past three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, the team will cut linebacker Damone Clark as they continue to shake up their defensive roster. With the trade for Logan Wilson, the days were already numbered for Clark, and he didn’t get a chance to play Monday Night in Las Vegas. For the first time in a while, the defense found success with their new acquisitions, Wilson and Quinnen Williams, so the release came to no surprise, as Clark hasn’t been able to find his footing in Dallas. Originally selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, the former LSU product has been one of the biggest busts for this Dallas defense that has struggled for the majority of the 2025 campaign.

It’s hard to predict what his future looks like in the league, but since he is coming out of Dallas and is young, there could be some teams looking to acquire him. He will likely go unclaimed on waivers despite recording the most tackles in his sophomore campaign while starting all 17 games in that same season. Clark will be on the search for his next opportunity and will need to work his way back to a starting role. With that, here are three teams that may sign him at some point.
