The Dallas Cowboys are in sole possession of first place in the NFC East after Monday night’s 41-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott completed 21 of 26 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Running back Ezekiel Elliott finally showed a pulse for the Cowboys, as he rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cowboys are the only team in the division with a 2-1 record. They are 1-0 in the NFC East.
The Eagles fall to 1-2 on the season and are 0-1 in the division.
The Eagles weren’t the only team in the division to get blown out in Week 3. Washington, which was sitting in first place last week, was dominated by the Buffalo Bills and now sits at 1-2 on the season. Washington is 1-0 in the NFC East.
The New York Giants gave the Atlanta Falcons their first win of the season on Sunday. For the second straight week, the Giants lost as the opposing team’s kicker nailed a field goal as time expired. New York remains winless at 0-3.
With this season’s quirky schedule, there aren’t a lot of NFC East games on the slate in the coming weeks, outside of the Cowboys and Giants meeting in Week 5.
