There are still questions surrounding Dak Prescott’s health ahead of the fast-approaching 2021 season.
Prescott went down with a season-ending injury during the 2020 season. He has since made a full recovery. Unfortunately, the Cowboys‘ franchise quarterback dealt with another setback during training camp when he sustained a shoulder strain.
As a result, plenty have questioned whether or not Prescott will be a full-go when the Cowboys take on the Buccaneers in the NFL’s season opener on Thursday. Stephen Jones had the answer on Tuesday night.
The Cowboys’ VP took a few questions from reporters while attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony at AT&T Stadium on Tuesday. In doing so, he said Prescott is “100 percent ready to go.”
“While Dak Prescott did not take a single preseason snap, Stephen Jones said that the quarterback is ‘100 percent ready to go’ for Thursday’s game and said that he ‘looked outstanding’ in practice,” via DallasCowboys.com. “He also said that Prescott, who hasn’t played since suffering his ankle injury last October, does not have the expectation that he will be rusty, and Stephen Jones has ‘total confidence in Dak and how he feels about what he can do for this football team.’”

Well there’s that. Dak Prescott is 100 percent for the Cowboys’ season opener on Thursday.
As long as Prescott stays healthy, Dallas should be one of the NFC’s top contenders. The Cowboys offense is littered with play-makers and the offensive line should be stellar. And don’t forget about Ezekiel Elliott, who took a step back in 2020 but is primed for a bounce-back year.
The Cowboys begin the 2021 season this Thursday, Sept. 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on NBC.
