Danica Patrick is known for her racing and business career, though the legendary driver previously admitted she had another dream life.
The former NASCAR driver turned business woman was one of the first athletes to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Patrick, now 39, posed for the iconic magazine issue in 2008 and again in 2009. Following her time with the magazine, Patrick admitted she would’ve loved to be a swimsuit model.
“I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun,” Patrick told Sports Illustrated.
Patrick was technically on the cover at one point, too.
“You could actually say I was on the cover,” Patrick said in an interview. “I had a little image in the top right corner of the cover. I think Bar Refaeli was the cover girl that year.”
Patrick manages to still get out near the water when she can, of course.
The 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, meanwhile, hit newsstands earlier this summer.
