Details are starting to emerge from the Tiger Woods photo that had the golf world buzzing over the weekend.
Woods, a 15-time major champion, hasn’t been seen from much in recent months. The 45-year-old golfer is continuing to recover from the injuries suffered in his single-car accident in Southern California at the start of the year.
However, on Saturday, a photo surfaced of Woods on the course, with a club in hand.
“Tiger Woods was seen this weekend in Florida watching his son compete at a junior event. TW was wearing a sleeve on his right leg & golf clothes on the range with a club in hand. First sighting in quite some time,” TW Legion tweeted.

Naturally, golf fans are very excited.
ESPN.com had more on the photo:
The 45-year-old golfer is pictured watching his son, Charlie, competing at the event. He was wearing golf gear and had a sleeve on his right leg. His girlfriend, Erica, is also in the image, standing next to him. These are the first images of Woods in a long time, as he has been relatively out of public view since his car accident earlier this year.
That is simply great to see.
Woods appears to be off crutches and making his way toward a fully recovery. Whether or not that recovery includes a PGA Tour comeback remains to be seen. However, fans clearly have reason to be optimistic.
Hopefully we’ll get to see Woods back competing soon.
