Ryan Fitzpatrick’s 2021 season may consist of all of three series of one game.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport broke the news early Sunday morning that the 39-year old of 166 NFL games and 233 touchdown passes is not recovering quickly enough from his injured hip subluxation suffered in this season’s opener at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is not expected to return this season because of the hip injury he suffered in September, sources say.

The healing has been slow for Fitzpatrick; consequently, he has not even been able to begin any sort of rehabilitation, needing to focus on only treatments up to this point.
A recent MRI showed some progress, reported head coach Ron Rivera; but not enough to begin rehab or consider playing in an NFL game anytime soon.
The 17-year NFL veteran signal-caller signed a free-agent 1-year contract for $10M with Washington in the offseason to be the team’s starter.
But going down in the third offensive series of game one, Fitzpatrick was replaced by Taylor Heinicke who has started each game thereafter.
The former Harvard QB has also played in the NFL for the Rams, Bengals, Bills, Titans, Texans, Jets, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Washington.
In 2018 while quarterbacking the Buccaneers, Fitzpatrick led the NFL in yards per passing attempt (9.6) and yards per pass completion (14.4).
