Fans were back in attendance at Washington training camp on Friday when the team hosted 20,000 fans for practice. Washington spent the first week of training camp in Richmond before returning home to Ashburn.
Friday’s practice was all about the fans. Yes, there were some nice plays on the field from some of Washington’s young players. But Washington’s biggest goal was to put on a show for its loyal fans.
FedEx Field doesn’t have a good history — for the team or fans. Not only is its location and parking an issue, but the gameday atmosphere was routinely the worst in the NFL. Head coach Ron Rivera and team president Jason Wright have made it their mission to make gameday at FedEx Field a pleasurable experience for all fans.
And, working with the fans in the new Fan Ambassador Network, Washington has given a voice to the fans on how to improve gameday experience at FedEx Field.
