Fight Reportedly Breaks Out During Denver Broncos Practice

Tensions were high at the Denver Broncos‘ practice on Saturday.

According to Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens, Broncos defensive lineman Bradley Chubb and offensive lineman Garett Bolles got into a pretty heated scuffle. They weren’t the only players involved, either. Chubb, Bolles and several others were “on the ground.”

“Multiple Broncos on the ground in the first fight of camp. Bolles and Bradley Chubb were on the ground,” Stevens reported on Twitter. “It was broken up, then Chubb pushed Bolles again.”

Others intervened to separate the players involved, but the scuffle didn’t end there. Chubb reportedly pushed Bolles after the two were separated, which led to more chirping. Bolles eventually left practice before returning a while later.

Garett Bolles and Bradley Chubb didn’t leave practice without settling their feud. After returning to the practice field, Bolles approached Chubb and apologized.

It looks like they’ve put the fight behind them.

And some resolution: During a water break Garett Bolles approaches Denver’s linebackers and appears to apologize to Bradley Chubb. Taps him on the shoulder and heads back to offensive group. #9sports

This isn’t the first practice fight we’ve heard about this offseason. The New York Giants had an all-out brawl during one of their practices earlier this week. It got so bad that Daniel Jones wound up at the bottom of the fight pile.

Training camp fights aren’t anything out of the ordinary. The offseason is a long layoff for players, who are itching to get back out on the practice field most years. Couple that with the hot summer sun and you’re going to get plenty of fights.

What you don’t want to see is players continuing to fight throughout training camp. It doesn’t look like the Broncos have anything to worry about. Bolles and Chubb appear to have already moved on.
