Atlanta Falcons rookie tight end Kyle Pitts didn’t make his preseason debut until the final preseason game – and he only got limited snaps in the 19-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. So how did he feel about his preseason debut?
Speaking to the Atlanta Falcons team website, Pitts said he had fun being out there and competing. He said he felt at points like his heart was racing, and he was glad to be out there with his teammates.
“I felt like my heart was moving faster than my legs,” Pitts said, via Kris Rhim of the team’s website. “It was just fun being out there being in that atmosphere and being with some guys out there that push me every play.
“I love competing… Anytime I have a good chance to go against anyone else, it’s always a good time.”
Pitts had a handful of snaps against the Browns, making one reception for 27 yards before being pulled from the game.
Get used to this, Falcons fans.

As a junior at Florida in 2020, Kyle Pitts had a historically great season for a tight end. In eight games he had 43 receptions for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns.
NFL analysts deemed him one of the best non-quarterbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft and the Falcons agreed. Atlanta made Pitts the No. 4 overall pick – one of the highest selections ever for a tight end.
Expectations are going to be exceptionally high for Pitts – probably for his entire career.
How do you think Kyle Pitts will fare as a rookie this coming season?
