Tom Brady knows a thing or two about winning. So when the all-time great quarterback congratulates you on a victory, you know you’re doing something right.
After last night’s gold medal win over France, Brady gave Draymond Green and Team USA a call.
Green shared a screenshot of the star-studded FaceTime call earlier this morning — clearly thrilled by Brady’s well wishes.
“You get a call from the [goat emoji]…act normal! Everything is Golden!” Green wrote on Instagram.
Brady replied in the comments.
“LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!” the seven-time Super Bowl champ wrote.
Through last night’s 87-82 gold medal victory over France, Green put up a very Draymond-esque stat line: zero points, zero field goal attempts, five assists, two rebounds and two steals through 16 minutes of play. His former Golden State Warriors teammate Kevin Durant led the way for the U.S. with 29 points on 50% shooting from the field. Jayson Tatum chipped in 19 points of his own as Team USA edged out Rudy Gobert and the French squad.
Green and the stacked U.S. roster fell to France during pool play 83-76 in their first matchup at this year’s games.
Despite their early struggles, Team USA was able to pull things together in time to claim its fourth straight Olympic gold dating back to 2008.
