Last year’s Florida–LSU game was one for the history books as Marco Wilson’s infamous show toss effectively ended the Gators’ national title dreams. But for this year’s edition of their annual rivalry game, the Gators are breaking out a special uniform.
On Thursday, the Florida Gators revealed their uniform combination for Saturday’s road game against the Tigers. They’ll be wearing all orange when they head to Baton Rouge to take on LSU.
Florida don’t break out the all orange often. They rarely wear it at all in a given season. The last time they wore it was in 2016, when they beat LSU in Baton Rouge, 16-10.
A special game against a longstanding rivalry deserves something special. And when you’re trying to avenge a controversial loss, the game deserves it even more.

Florida have had some trouble beating LSU in recent years – particularly in Baton Rouge. The Gators have lost eight of their last 11 meetings with the Tigers – and just one of their last five at Tiger Stadium.
Florida head into this game as the No. 20 team in the country against the unranked, 3-3 Tigers. However, the lower ranked team between the two has actually won four of the last five times.
Needless to say, the Gators can’t afford to look past the Tigers. Especially with their October 30 game against Georgia looming.
Will Florida’s new uniform give them luck against LSU this weekend?
