Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will get first real taste of the Red River Showdown this Saturday, as he’ll lead his players into battle against Oklahoma.
It’s still yet to be determined if Sarkisian has the right game plan this afternoon, but there’s no doubt that he has the perfect pregame outfit for this occasion.
On Saturday morning, ESPN’s Holly Rowe caught up with Sarkisian to address his pregame attire. Sarkisian was wearing a burnt orange blazer with striped pants.
Although this outfit may seem unconventional to some, Sarkisian told Rowe that it’s important to dress well before a monumental game like the Red River Showdown.
“Well, I try to take pride in what we wear as a team and as a coach,” Sarkisian said. “I’m pretty lucky my wife is pretty good at this thing too.”

Deion Sanders once said, “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good.” It’s fair to say Sarkisian is going to put that theory to the test this afternoon.
Texas has looked really impressive over the past two weeks, blowing out Texas Tech at home and defeating TCU on the road. It’ll be interesting to see if Sarkisian’s squad can hang around with Oklahoma later today.
Kickoff for this year’s Red River Showdown is at 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
