Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is the presumed starter for the team this coming season. So how’s he looking in training camp so far?
Per Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks, Hurts is 112/156 (71.8-percent completion) with nine touchdowns and four picks in camp to date. Though he has yet to throw in a preseason game this year, he’s by all accounts looking good with the first team.
Eagles fans are pretty excited by how good Hurts has looked so far. The number that really sticks out to some is how good is passing accuracy is:
112/156 is stellar considering our D has played well in camp. I’d rather him throw the picks in practice and correct them, so I’m not worried about those. They’ll lessen in time while he develops more chemistry with the wrs and learns the offense

Not bad. I’m sure he’s been passing more than running in practice too.

Jalen Hurts was a second-round pick by the Eagles last season and spent 2020 as the backup to Carson Wentz. After Wentz was benched, Hurts went 1-3 as a starter, and had some impressive moments down the stretch.
When the Eagles parted ways with head coach Doug Pederson and traded Wentz after the season, they brought in Nick Sirianni as the new head coach. But they didn’t acquire a veteran or rookie quarterback, paving the way for Hurts to start.
Hurts had a long way to go at the end of last season. But perhaps the new offense and some of the new player acquisitions (such as WR DeVonta Smith) will keep him from struggling in his first full year as a starter.
Will Jalen Hurts have a good season for the Eagles this year?
