In the wake of Jon Gruden’s resignation on Monday night, Keyshawn Johnson has been vocal about his dislike for his former head coach.
Johnson has made it clear in the past he is not a fan of Gruden, who he played for in Tampa in 2002 and for half of the 2003 season before being deactivated. This morning, Johnson blasted Gruden as a “fraud” and a “used car salesman.”
Johnson, a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver during his NFL career, has received plenty of support after making these comments about Gruden, who stepped down as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders last night after a report from the New York Times uncovered homophobic and misogynistic emails he sent over a period of seven years from 2011-18.
Gruden was already under fire for using a racist trope about NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith in a 2011 email.

What makes really good TV/Radio is really knowing the subject.
Keyshawn on Gruden is very good.
He played for him. He can’t stand him. It’s insightful.

Keyshawn said it before about Gruden and saying it again on his show right now how he had a pattern and his privilege kept it being overlooked

Of course, there are usually two sides to a story, and some have called out Johnson for having sour grapes after Gruden made him inactive for the final seven games of the 2003 season.
In a passage cited from Warren Sapp’s group, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers player captains reportedly voted Johnson off the team.
This what warren sapp wrote in his book. Gruden should be punished, but Keyshawn seems disgruntled to me pic.twitter.com/76xQeGtCWD

Johnson was traded to the Dallas Cowboys following that 2003 season, while Gruden remained the head coach of the Buccaneers for five more years, making two more playoff appearances.
