In just a few hours, the two newest members of the SEC (soon) will face off in the Red River Showdown.
Oklahoma vs. Texas is one of the best rivalries in college football and that will be on full display yet again today. The Sooners have won nine of the last 12 meetings between the two sides.
Oklahoma already entered Saturday’s game as the favorite. However, the Sooners received a significant boost on the offensive side of the football to push the game even more in their favor.
According to Oklahoma insider Bob Przyblo, running back Marcus Major was finally cleared by the NCAA and is eligible to play in Saturday afternoon’s game against the Longhorns.

Earlier this week, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit suggested this game could be a shootout, with the team who has the ball last getting the win.
“I’m excited to see — going in as we sit here on Friday, I feel like it’s a high-scoring game,” Herbstreit said. “I think both defenses will struggle to stop the other offense.
“I feel like it has the makings of a ‘who has the ball last?’ kind of game. Maybe I’ll be proven completely wrong. But that’s what it feels like based on watching the film.”
Kickoff for this year’s Oklahoma-Texas game is at 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
