Outside of quarterback, there is no bigger need for the Washington Commanders than at offensive tackle. The good news for Washington is this is a deep offensive tackle class. Even more good news is that the Commanders have nine selections in the 2024 NFL draft and have the capital to move back into the first round to select one of the better tackles.
Could Washington make a move for Amarius Mims (Georgia) or Olu Fashanu (Penn State)? Or will the Commanders take their chances and wait for one of the offensive tackles to fall to them at No. 36 overall?
It would not be a surprise if the Commanders came away from this weekend’s draft with multiple offensive linemen. Washington could use depth inside, too. The left guard position remains unsettled, although Nick Allegretti is expected to start.
