The Washington Football Team opens the 2021 season on Sunday when the Los Angeles Chargers come to FedEx Field.
Washington, which won the NFC East with a 7-9 record in 2020, is looking to win back-to-back division titles for the first time since the early years of Joe Gibbs’ first era in D.C.
A big reason for Washington’s success in 2020 was its defense. Washington’s defense could be even better in 2021 with all of the young players one year older and the additions of cornerbacks William Jackson III and Benjamin St-Juste, linebacker Jamin Davis and the return of safety Landon Collins.
But for Washington to repeat as NFC East champions, it will need more from the offense this season.
Now, we rank the 10 most important players on the WFT’s roster for 2021. Note, this is not a ranking of the 10 best players on the roster.
