It’s customary for every award show that the host spends the first few minutes roasting those in the audience. That happened during Thursday’s NFL Honors show, with the legendary Snoop Dogg hosting the festivities.
Snoop Dogg had jokes about Bill Belichick and his younger girlfriend, the Dallas Cowboys, the Cincinnati Bengals defense and much more.
Snoop Dogg also roasted the NFL’s newest young star: Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. Snoop said Daniels was his wife’s new favorite player. He also had a hilarious line about the Commanders:
“You were so good this year, the NFL had to finally tell your team about this award show,” Snoop Dogg said.
That’s an accurate statement.
However, his best joke:
“He’s so chill that weed smokes him to relax.”

That’s an all-timer, for sure.
Daniels would go on to win the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Later, his “Hail Mary” touchdown pass to wide receiver Noah Brown was named the Next Gen Stats Moment of the Year.
