With a name like Heinicke, you think that Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke would be a lock for a partnership deal with Heineken. And apparently he’s been trying to land a deal with Heineken since his appearance in last season’s Wild Card game against the Buccaneers.
But after failing to land an endorsement deal with the almost-namesake Heineken, the QB told NBC Sports jokingly that “at some point I’ll start calling out Bud Light”. The folks at Bud Light caught wind of this, and they were ready and waiting, managing to ink a partnership deal with Heinicke just a few days later!
The 28-year-old starter posted a picture of a special package from Bud Light that read “Bud Lighticke” to his Instagram.
As you can see, the QB received a care package from the company which included two 12-packs of Bud Light, one 12-pack of Bud Light Seltzer, three bottles of Bud Lights with the company’s ‘For the Fans’ promo with ‘Bud Lighticke’ written on the box, and a Bud Light hat.
You’ve got to give it to Bud Light, they saw an opportunity and they didn’t waste any time capitalizing on it. Here’s hoping that Heinicke enjoys his free brews (and the $$ that comes along with the deal), and that he brings the WFT some wins in Fitzpatrick’s absence.
