The Green Bay Packers have reportedly acquired a new punter.
According to reports from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Packers landed former Buffalo Bills punter Corey Bojorquez from the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday afternoon.
The Rams are sending their punter and a 2023 seventh-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick, per LA insider Jourdan Rodrigue.

I’m sorry all, I misread the text I got that’s totally on me.

Bojorquez was locked in a battle for the Rams’ punter position four-time All-Pro punter Johnny Hekker after signing with the team earlier this offseason.
The fourth-year punter seemed to have beaten out the longtime veteran with a near-perfect preseason performance against the Denver Broncos this past weekend — launching five punts for 277 yards for an average of 55.4 yards per kick. Of those five punts, two of them were downed on the one-yard line.
Apparently, this performance did more than just land Bojorquez the projected starting job for the Rams — it also attracted the Packers’ attention.

In 2020, incumbent punter J.K. Scott struggled with consistency on Green Bay’s special teams unit. Despite knocking 14 punts further than 50 yards, the former fifth-round pick also hit 15 less than 40 yards. His final season stats had him ranked well into the bottom half of NFL punters this past season.
Bojorquez ranked No. 1 after averaging a league-best 50.8 yards per punt, including NFL-long 72-yard kick.
