It was North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye’s turn in the spotlight Thursday. After LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels had his pro day on Wednesday, Maye followed it up in Chapel Hill in front of all 32 NFL teams.
Maye is considered a consensus top-five pick – likely a top-three pick – regardless of what the social media draft experts tell you. The Washington Commanders hold the No. 2 overall pick and had general manager Adam Peters, head coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury in town to watch Maye. The New England Patriots, who hold the No. 3 pick, were also well represented by the top executives in their organization.
Washington fans are excited about the prospect of landing a potential franchise quarterback. Some love Maye; others love Daniels. And just like everything else in today’s world, there is no in-between.
Here are some of the top reactions from Maye’s pro day.
