The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Football Team 20-16 on Sunday at FedEx Field. The loss drops Washington to 6-10 on the season the WFT is officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Washington hung tough with the Eagles despite being shorthanded on both sides of the ball. The Eagles didn’t get their first lead of the game until midway through the fourth quarter. Washington had one more opportunity to win the game, but quarterback Taylor Heinicke was picked off in the end zone with around 20 seconds remaining in the game.
That does it for another Washington season.
