Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes just couldn’t wait until the start of the NFL season to give us some of his signature, dazzling throws.
During today’s preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, Mahomes rolled out to his left on a rollout play. But he quickly changed directions when he saw what the defense was giving it. That’s when the magic happened.
Mahomes side-armed his throw, giving it an upwards arc, right into a spot where only tight end Travis could get it. The Chiefs got a solid gain of well over 20 yards from that play.
As with most videos of Patrick Mahomes making an impressive throw, the video is going viral.

“I have seen dozens of high school kids over the years go to QB camps and hire private coaches to teach them the perfect fundamentals. For me – it’s PM doing whatever it takes with whatever arm angle is necessary to make it happen. It’s incredible,” one fan replied.
“Only Patrick Mahomes and Ben DiNucci can make this throw,” ESPN’s Ed Werder joked.
“The dude is just unbelievable,” another fan said in a retweet.
Patrick Mahomes may just have the best arm in NFL history. Some of the throws he’s made from so many different angles are beyond what some of the all-time greats have been able to make.
