Over the weekend, Aaron Donald finally found the only thing that has eluded him during his illustrious NFL career: a Super Bowl ring.
Leading 23-20 with just over 40 seconds left, the Los Angeles Rams needed a big play from Donald and they got it. Donald had the game-clinching pressure on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to ice the game.
In the two days following the game, the sports world has taken time to appreciate Donald’s dominance within the sports since he entered the league. Even former NFL stars are giving Donald his due.
After his incredible performance in the Super Bowl, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Warren Sapp had a refreshing take on the seven-time All-Pro. When asked where Donald ranks among the all-time greatest defensive tackles, Sapp gave a simple answer.
“He’s above me,” Sapp said about Donald to the Rich Eisen Show.

It’s a refreshing take from Sapp. Former elite athletes almost never admit that anyone is better than them at their respective position.
However, the Buccaneers legend truly appreciates Donald’s greatness. At this point, just about everyone on planet Earth knows that Donald is the best defensive player in the game and possibly the best overall player in the game.
No one has been more dominant since he entered the league in 2014. He’s a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and has been named to seven-straight All-Pro first teams.
Not many player can say that.
Is Donald the best ever?
