Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2020, winning NFL defensive rookie of the year and leading his team to an NFC East title.
Young’s second season didn’t go as smoothly. In Week 10’s win over the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Young suffered a torn ACL, and sadly, his second NFL season was abruptly cut short.
Since his injury, Young has quietly been rehabbing out of the spotlight. After the season, he did interviews talking about his recovery while not promising anything about being ready for training camp. Young was also seen as part of Washington’s uniform reveal for the team’s rebranding earlier this month.
Still one of the most visible young stars in the NFL, it was no surprise Young was included in the NFL’s official commercial during Super Bowl LVI.

This commercial was amazing

As you can see, Young’s likeness is one of several current and former NFL stars who come through the television in the commercial. Once the two kids playing the video game before the NFL players came through the TV saw the players, Young shouts “live ball,” and there is a free-for-all for the football.
Peyton Manning, Walter Payton, Ray Lewis, Deion Sanders and Michael Strahan were some of the legends featured in the commercial, which ends with Payton scoring the touchdown.
It was an impressive commercial, directed and produced by Swaybox Studios.
As for Young, Commanders’ fans hope the version of Young in the commercial is 100% healthy like the animated version in the commercial for the start of the 2022 season.
