Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera has maintained that he liked his team all season. When he was asked about making coaching or personnel changes throughout the year, Rivera brushed those questions off as nonsense.
Rivera likely felt some vindication after Sunday’s 29-19 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And, after the game, Rivera spoke to his team in the locker room, and he was fired up.

“That tells me what you guys are capable of,” Rivera told his team. “You just measured yourself to Goliath. Alright, you just measured yourself, and you found out who you are and what you’re capable of. I’ll tell you what — I’ve been waiting to say this to you—victory Monday.”
Washington snapped a four-game losing streak with the upset win over the Buccaneers in a game literally no one picked Washington to win.
Washington travels to Carolina in Week 11 to face Rivera’s old team — and quarterback.
