The injuries are piling up for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, who left today’s game against the New England Patriots after hurting his knee.
Mayfield, who has a torn labrum and a tuberosity fracture in his left shoulder, also dealt with a sore foot leading up to today. He injured his knee after getting blasted by Patriots pass rusher Matt Judon in the third quarter of a 45-7 blowout defeat.
After the game, Mayfield told reporters that X-rays did not show any structural damage to his knee. We’ll have to see if Mayfield gets any further tests done.
The 2018 No. 1 overall pick did not return after leaving the game following the Judon hit. He was replaced by backup Case Keenum.

The Browns will face the Detroit Lions next Sunday. If Mayfield can’t go, Keenum would start in his place.
The 10-year veteran actually started a game earlier this year when Mayfield’s ailing shoulder rendered him unable to play.
In that Thursday night contest against the Denver Broncos on October 21, Keenum completed 21-of-33 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown.
